Privacy Policy

What we do and don't collect.

Last updated: 22 September 2026.

This policy explains what information M and S Computers ("we", "us") collects when you visit this site, and what we do with it. It applies to mandscomputers.com.

What we collect

What we don't collect. We do not require an account, and we do not ask you for a name, email address, or any personal information just to read the site. There is no registration, no newsletter gate, and no login.

Log data. Like most websites, our hosting server automatically records basic technical information about each request — the IP address, the browser and device type, the page you requested, and the time. This is used to keep the site running, to check for unusual traffic, and to understand which pages are useful. It is not tied to you personally by us.

Cookies. We use a small number of technical cookies where they are necessary for the site to function (for example, to keep the mobile menu state on a page). See our Cookie Policy for the full list. We do not use cookies to build a profile of you.

Analytics. We may use privacy-respecting, cookie-light analytics to understand which guides people find and which don't load. We do not sell this data and do not link it to identifiable information we hold (we don't hold any to begin with).

What we do with the data

  • Run the site — serve pages, assets, and the interactive tools you use (like the password generator).
  • Keep it secure — detect and block abusive or automated traffic.
  • Improve it — see which pages help and which need fixing.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not use it to serve you advertising based on your behaviour.

The tools on this site

The interactive tools (password generator, download-time calculator, and the others) run in your browser. They do not send your inputs to a server. A password you generate stays on your device; a file size you enter is computed locally. We see only that a tool page was visited, not what you typed into it.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. The site will still work; you may just lose a small convenience (like the mobile menu staying open).
  • If you'd like to know specifically what log data exists for a request, or have a concern, contact us.

Children

The site is aimed at general computer users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we don't need any to use the site.

Changes

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the date above. The site's core promise stays the same: you can read and use it without giving up personal information.

Your rights

If you're in the UK, EU, or EEA, you have rights under data-protection law to ask what we hold about you and to ask us to correct or delete it. Given that we hold essentially no personal data, those requests are unlikely to find much — but you can make them, and we'll answer.
